Responsibilities:
Provide tailored one-on-one or group support to pupils with SEN, adapting learning resources to their individual needs in the education and training sector.
Assist the class teacher with classroom management and ensuring all students are included.
Collaborate closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other professionals to implement personalized education plans.
Create a nurturing and safe learning environment for students with additional needs.
Support pupils during lessons, break times, and other school activities to enhance their well-being and participation.
Help prepare educational materials to assist in student learning.
What we're looking for:
Experience working with children with SEN is highly preferred.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
Patience, empathy, and a calm approach to meet the diverse needs of the children.
A relevant qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3) is advantageous but not essential.
Flexibility and adaptability to respond to different learning challenges.
