Regulatory Development Manager – Salary circa £65,000

A bit about the job:
As a Regulatory Development Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and contributing to the 1st line Risk management strategy by developing and managing the delivery of Aviva's horizon scanning and regulatory requirements, with a particular focus on Consumer Duty outcomes. Situated in a heavily regulated, technically complex area, the role will provide appropriate and effective regulatory guidance to Aviva Insurance Limited and relevant subsidiaries. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships with local market departments and Group to facilitate a thorough understanding of their regulatory needs.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing first line challenge and oversight on regulatory impact assessments, Consumer Duty, regulatory change, information requests and other ad hoc regulatory reports. Providing first line input to regulatory projects and working groups as required.
- Promoting risk best practice with a view to reducing regulatory, operational and conduct risks.
- Fostering and maintaining an attitude of 'solutions led' Risk and Governance team with a positive attitude.
- Proactively participate in the sharing of knowledge and expertise across teams to encourage continuous development and improvement of capability and expertise across the function.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- A background in Regulatory or Financial Services is essential.
- A strong knowledge of the FCA’s Consumer Duty and outcomes monitoring and knowledge of FCA handbook standards, relevant insurance regulation and associated industry bodies / codes
- Be comfortable leading on key regulatory developments.
- Be able to translate and disseminate complex regulation into meaningful actions for the business.
- Time management / prioritisation skills - you will often need to deliver content / messaging for senior stakeholders on tight timescales and must be able to deliver clear and concise messaging.

- Salary circa £65,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
- Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
