Pilgrim Hospital is situated on the outskirts of the market town of Boston and serves the population of the whole of South and Mid-Lincolnshire providing emergency and acute inpatient care, elective and emergency surgery, outpatient services and much more
The Integrated Assessment Centre is a 25 bed unit which takes medical and surgical referrals in from the Emergency Department and Urgent Care. This is a busy fast paced unit with a daily turnover of up to 40-60 patients.
The team have been established over the last five years and are professional, knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. The is a real 'team' atmosphere on the unit which is reflected in our excellent retention of staff and high fill rate of job vacancies.
The Ward Clerk duties will include: communicating will all visitors to the ward, answering the telephone, updating CareFlow (computer system) with all admissions / discharges. Ensuring all medical notes and current inpatient notes are filed correctly, oversee RDC ordering and ensuring stationary stock is well maintained.
The above list is not exhaustive as you will also be expected to support with the collection of data that is completed on a daily and monthly basis. This data is specific to the ward.
