Applications are invited for a Careers Adviser post within the Careers and Employability Service. The successful candidate will be joining a large service which is committed to working together to combine the skills, insights and experience of teams working directly with students, academics, employers and other stakeholders, with those of our enabling teams to develop and deliver a consistently high level of service and professional standards.
The role holder will work in partnership with an allocated Faculty team, to engage with the education and student experience of their students. The successful candidates will deliver expert services in order to advance the graduate prospects and outcomes of our students and graduates. This could mean working on employability skills development in one school, supporting work-based learning in another and delivering a workshop or module in a third. The posts will include responsibility for supporting placement activity across the faculties and schools. Whilst based at University Park your work will take you across our other Nottingham based campuses.
The key to success in this role is flexibility in handling the variety of projects and the ability to engage and collaborate with service, academic and other professional service colleagues to deliver against multiple agendas. The successful candidate will be qualified and experienced in career development, professional development, HR, teaching or other related roles where they can demonstrate a track record of innovation, success and impact from high quality delivery. The role will involve occasional evening and weekend work, according to the needs of the Faculties and the service.
If you are excited by the opportunity and challenge that this role presents and are keen to play a key role in shaping the future success of the Careers and Employability Service, then we look forward to hearing from you.
The post is offered on a permanent, part time (18 hours per week) contract. Hybrid working options are available, with an expectation that the successful candidate will spend 60% of their time working on campus.
